The 2023 Walter Dean Myers Awards

The 2023 recipients of the Walter Dean Myers Award were announced in January 2023, and will be honored with an award ceremony at the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Library in Washington DC on March 17th, 2023.

Nominated in 15 and up, WHITEOUT by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon, published by Quill Tree Books, an imprint of Harper Collins. Nominated in 10 to 14, RAIN RISING by Courtne Comrie, published by HarperCollins. Nominated in 15 and up, KINGS OF B'MORE by R. Eric Thomas, published by Kokila, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
